In high school, we read Siddhartha, by Herman Hesse, and the mental images it evoked of far-off lands with wandering monks made me want to experience India’s holy land. In a clear while flying to lukla you can see massive MYSELF peak. This is a very sweet book, but an amazing one. Written by the wife of the youngest of the two Abernathy Boys, it chronicles their adventures when only 9 and 5 years old respectively.

The organizers were easy to get in touch with when I had questions and made a scary experience so exciting. I would recommend an adventure like this to. Eat, Pray, Love is the quintessential "self-help" book. This book, like Big Magic, was written by Elizabeth Gilbert and has inspired readers to take the time to explore themselves.
Even if you aren't looking to "find yourself", this book is a read that will make you want to travel the world. This is also a great read if you're on the fence Author: Nikki D'ambrosio. I have read many adventure books in my 65 years, most due to the fact that I studied English Literature in college. As you can probably imagine, most were the Classics; 20, Leagues under the sea- Jules Verne Treasure Island- Robert Louis Steven.
Try to think of a trip that is, for me at least, fresh, novel, difficult and different. Draw up a shortlist of the few plans that currently excite me most. Narrow this list down against criteria such as cost, season, timeframe and potential partners available.
